Person Centred Active Support Success

Gail who lives at The Barn residential service in Leyland, Lancashire,  has been increasing her cooking skills over the last few weeks with the support of her team using Person Centred Active Support.

Person-Centred Active Support is a way of supporting people so they are engaged in meaningful activity and relationships as active participants, exercising more control over their lives and experiencing greater levels of inclusion, independence and choice.

The team at The Barn have received training in this approach and have been putting their learning into practice to support Gail to cook independently.

She recently made a lovely pasta dish independently which is a huge achievement and one that she, and her team, are very proud of!
