Joseph, one of the individuals we support in Preston, Lancashire has been on TV to talk about mental health during his cycle against mental health stigma ride with Community Restart in Preston – aiming to promote understanding and reduce stigma around mental health.
In the past Joseph has found it difficult to accept a diagnosis and also struggled with stigma. To now see him a few years on, talking on TV about mental health, is amazing!
Joseph has been involved with Lancashire based Community Restart for the past two years and joined restart as part of mental health awareness week campaign.
The Community Restart Team work with local communities to increase social inclusion and raise awareness of the stigma that people with mental health problems can experience… The team support people across Lancashire to access and use mainstream community services like college, or arts and sport activities.
