Day Opportunities are available for people who need support to enable them to live as independent and fulfilling a life as possible, in their communities. They are offered to people with disabilities particularly learning disabilities and high support needs.
Potens aim to provide life skills training support for people in their own communities where they can continue or develop new friendships close to home and benefit from other local resources. Students benefit from a skilled and experienced staff team, a flexible approach to learning new skills and building their social networks with other students.
The level of support needed and plan of activities is discussed and agreed with each individual. The planned programmes of support include practical help such as learning or relearning daily living skills such as cookery or using public transport, accessing inclusive community activities or considering local unpaid or paid work opportunities.
