A young woman moved into Pendle View, East Lancashire in September 2015, after experiencing a chaotic period in her life, including spending sometime in hospital. This woman not only has mental health problems, but additional health problems, which had been neglected for over 12 months.
On arrival at the service she was keen to address some of her previous issues, which had resulted in her having to relinquish custody of her children into the care of their Father and her Step Mother.
From the very first day at the service she was keen to engage with the staff team and identify her goals. One of her goals was to regain access to her children and to be able to return back to her home town of Warrington. The staff team supported her to make contact with her children’s social worker, access advocacy and make contact back with her Cardiologist.
Things are now looking bright for this young woman’s future, her mental and physical health have improved dramatically, she has regular contact with her children and is looking forward to a new life back in Warrington.
