Howard, who lives at Potens’ Heathfield Gardens in Derbyshire, had an amazing week’s holiday in Bridlington in the summer. Here he shares his favourite photographs as we find out more about why this trip was so important to him.
Service Manager, Ana Beja, explains: “Due the place where Howard was living until March 2017 he had a very limited opportunity to do things of his choice and to be supported to go out in the community. At Heathfield, Howard is now supported to live the life he chooses and to experience different things.”
Going on holiday was one of Howard’s key goals and something he was very much looking forward to.
“In August Howard went on Holiday of his choice – supported by the staff he also chose. Howard went to Bridlington for an entire week – going to many different places and enjoying every minute. He even arranged to receive a very special visit from his family who came to see him while he was on holiday and spend a day with him.”
