The Start of Emma’s Wellbeing Success at Oakleigh Lodge 😊

At Oakleigh Lodge, they have recently appointed Emma as their new volunteer Wellbeing Lead. 😊

Activities Coordinator Kayleigh said, “Emma has stepped into her role amazingly and we feel so lucky to have her supporting us all. So far Emma has supported staff by creating an ‘elephant in the room’ with the help of the people we support. 🐘 The idea of the elephant is for staff to express their worries, concerns, or positivity anonymously or by leaving their name and Emma will help support them through these the best she can. 😊 As you can see by the picture it is working very well. Emma has also created welcome packs here at Oakleigh Lodge for our new starters with small tokens, messages of kindness and useful items to help them settle in and welcome them to the team at Oakleigh Lodge. 🌟 As you can see from the photograph our new members off staff were over the moon with their wonderful gifts. 🎁 Recently Emma worked on a small gift for each of our staff in support of World Suicide Prevention Day, each staff member received a beautiful, engraved pen with a special message of appreciation and a note telling them of their worth and how much they are appreciated. 💙 Emma has chatted with everyone individually, letting the staff know she will be there for them and any concerns or worries she is happy to help with. This has been such a wonderful gesture and staff have been absolutely overjoyed to receive these gifts it has touched us all. It is a great start to the wellbeing journey here at Oakleigh Lodge. The people we support and Emma have been working together to help support our local community by creating beautiful butterflies with useful numbers and special messages for Suicide Prevention Day. The people we support have enjoyed going out to our local community and hanging them in all different places they too have felt pride in doing this. It has been so lovely to see the people in the community looking and taking time to read these butterflies and the people we support have a great feeling of accomplishment. Knowing together as a home we are helping everyone!” 😊🧡

What a fantastic job you are doing as the Wellbeing Lead at Oakleigh Lodge Emma with all the staff and people we support, well done! 🤩

A big well done to you all for making the important butterflies and supporting your local community by sharing how people can get support and help prevent suicide. 👏

Fantastic photos 📸, we can’t wait to see what Emma gets up to next as the Wellbeing Lead…
