At Tarrant House, they have had a great visit from a business called ZooLab. ️
ZooLab is a company that makes visits with mainly reptiles, explaining things about them including their habitats and diets to educate people on animal handling and the natural world.
Deputy Manager Deborah said “Emily from ZooLab visited us and was amazing, not only with her knowledge but also with the people we support. They loved it and were less fazed than the staff by the Tarantula! ️ We weren’t sure if the people we support would like the spider, but it was amazing to see their reactions. We got to meet lots of different reptiles and animals including Jessie the Tarantula, Lenny the Corn Snake, Twiggy the large Stick Insect, Gary the giant African Land Snail, Dandelion the Leopard Gecko, Freddy the White Tree Frog, and cuddly Stanley the Gerbil. It was a great visit!”
It’s great to see everyone enjoying their time meeting and holding the different animals at home that Emily brought along. Animals are a great way to improve people’s wellbeing to help people feel more at ease and relaxed. ✨
