There has been lots of summer fun over the last few months at Westhead! 🌞🙌
The ladies at Westhead have regular empowerment meetings that they utilise to plan upcoming events and have their say in which events they’d like to visit or participate in. 🌟
Manager Toni said “Summer 2024 has seen our 2nd Westival held in the service. We had our very own music festival, featuring a live band (friends of our very own senior support worker Katy)! 🎸 Connor and Scott from Mansard House also came along to do some duet work for us. 🙌 We had a fantastic turn out with families, friends and other local services such as The Barn and Liverpool Road also joining us to celebrate! 🎉 The ladies have also been on many summer days out, including walks in the park, ice creams, lunch dates, bowling and the cinema in Southport. 🎳📽️ Over the summer they discovered a brand-new monthly lunch club which includes prize bingo and a disco! 🪩 The ladies just attended their 3rd monthly lunch club since joining and Kathleen and Helen won prize bingo. 👏 Helen even managed to fit in a day trip to Liverpool where she had her very first manicure done, whilst Julie visited the local Owl and Bird Sanctuary.” 💅🦉
