Mansard House and Pendle View in Lancashire have been celebrating Sleeptember 😴💤
September marks The Sleep Charity’s annual campaign to raise awareness on how to get a good night’s sleep and why it’s beneficial. ✨
Wellbeing Lead Ange at Mansard House said “I have been working in the service to raise awareness of getting a good night’s sleep, by having discussions with all our staff about the benefits of sleeping well and how not sleeping well can affect many aspects of their lives. As not getting enough sleep can have a massive and detrimental effect on your physical and mental health. I have also done a talk for the people we support, giving tips and advice on how to get a better sleep each night. 🛏 Everyone has been given an eye mask, hot chocolate, a calming relaxing herbal tea bag and a ‘Sleep Hygiene List’ which offers tips on what to do and not to do at bedtime to help with your sleep. We have also purchased some relaxing bubble bath which has helped people relax in the evening and get a better night’s sleep!” 🙌💤
Manager at Pendle View Debbie said, “The staff at Pendle View have taken part in the Sleeptember activities with wear your pyjamas to work week! 😁 We have had discussions on the importance of sleep and how different sleep positions affect the quality of sleep you have with all our staff and people we support. Making sure everyone is aware of the benefits a good night’s sleep can have. We have also given everyone a leaflet with some further information and hints and tips on getting a good night’s sleep!” 💤🙌
Well done everyone for getting involved and supporting Sleeptember, it is so important for your health and wellbeing to get a good night’s sleep! 😴
