This month at Dale House for their Culture Day the people we support chose England and to have a high tea! 🍰🥪
Staff created a menu with the people we support and ordered all the essentials for a showstopping high tea! 🧁
Senior support worker Michaela said, “We sourced some high tea sets and everyone said they thoroughly enjoyed the day. Having the high tea sets made them feel like they were having a proper high tea. It was a lovely way to get everyone together and have a good old catch-up and put the world to rights 😊 and it was so lovely to see everyone get together and spend quality time building on friendships.🧡 After high tea we all took part in the great British quiz, everyone did so well! We then had a dance lesson learning Saturday Night by Wigfield which made us all giggle! 🕺 Overall a lovely day had by all! Irene, Les, Jane and Helen all said how much they enjoyed this and would love to do this more often. We spoke about doing some regular coffee mornings together, as a lot of the people we support are regularly out and about in their community, so it’s always nice to get everyone together when they are in the house to have a catch-up.” 🙌
