We would like to share the celebration of Sarah Rooney’s development story over her 10 years at Highgate House with Potens! From part time support worker through to a newly appointed Service Manager! 🙌
Sarah’s development within the company has been a massive success story, the people we support and team at Highgate wanted to express their appreciation and celebrate Sarah’s achievements. Sarah started at Potens a decade ago as a part-time 16 hours per week support worker. Developing to a senior support worker as a job share and then in 2021 successfully gained the role of full time Deputy Manager at Highgate House.
Manager at Highgate House Kris said “Sarah’s time as Deputy for Highgate was invaluable. She made a huge impact on the service, always striving to achieve only the best for everyone and her own development. With that, Sarah was a natural candidate to take on the role of interim manager at another local service in November 2023. Sarah spent 3 months as the interim manager before successfully gaining the full position as their permanent service manager! The people of Highgate are all extremely proud of Sarah’s development and achievements – and despite this being a huge loss to our service we wanted to celebrate her success. The People We Support held a small party for Sarah in early February where they all passed on their congratulatory messages and well wishes. One of the people we support wrote a lovely speech and read this out to Sarah in front of everyone. Recently most of the Highgate team were also able to celebrate with Sarah and went out for a nice meal together. We cannot thank Sarah enough for everything she has done at Highgate and wish her well in her new role at Walker Heights. Congratulations Sarah – you’re the best!” 💛💙
