Congratulations to Dawn Back, winner of the North West Regional Finals of the Great British Care Awards for Best Home Care Co-ordinator in recognition of the fantastic work she delivers managing our community team in Wirral.
Dawn (left) was shortlisted with Potens’ Fiona Jones and Justyna Karbowska (right) who were also named Regional Finalists in the North West Awards recognised for their fantastic contribution to Social Care.
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout England and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards are to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The finalists were shortlisted from hundreds of nominees across the North West in the regional final – with Dawn scooping the top prize at the glittering awards ceremony at The Mercure Hotel, Manchester Picadilly where she attended the finals of the Great North West Care Awards with her colleagues.
Nominees represent all areas of the social care sector, whether it be older people or specialist services, residential or home care. From frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as training and innovation.
The judges said: “Dawn’s enthusiasm and passion is infectious. She has identified a gap in community services to develop a dom care service fit for purpose. An innovative and dedicated individual who puts the service users and staff at the heart of everything.”
The group attended on the night with Area Managers: Tricia Scott and Dave Andrews.
