The people we support at Orme House have been continuing to upcycle their furniture! 🎨🛠️
Manager Katie said, “This year at Orme House our focus has been recycling and we began to upcycle the furniture in the house. 🏡 This is our latest project and the outcome is fantastic. 🙌 CJ moved into Orme House in August this year and had lots of clothes and needed more room to store them. We purchased a larger wardrobe and were looking for a good size chest of drawers to match and asked CJ if she would like new ones or if she would like to upcycle the ones she has, CJ chose to upcycle them. Off out we went to get the same colour paint to match the wardrobe, we then sanded down the woodwork and painted and waxed the furniture. 🖌️ We then purchased some new glass handles which has given the old furniture a new look. CJ was amazed at what a lick of paint can do and the transformation is fantastic. 😍 We can’t wait to start our next Project!”
