HT who is lives at Oak Unit – Queens Court has a diagnosis of Korsakoff’s dementia and an alcohol related brain injury. When first admitted to Arbennig Unit in Queens Court, HT was extremely reluctant to get involved or engage with others, staff and the service as a whole. He very much kept himself to himself and did his own thing in his bedroom. HT did not appear confident in any areas and due to his poor memory, he found it difficult to adapt and remember things.
Over at Heath Lodge they have a variety of animals that support worker Dean has kindly put together some information on and how they have positively impacted on the people we support. 🌟
