April is World Autism Acceptance Month with Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April. Newbold Road celebrated the day with lots of activities!

Andrew and Sam in our Sixth Form have been learning about Dreams and Goals in their PSHE lessons. One of their tasks was to decide what their goals might be and what steps they could take to achieve them. They also learnt that people in other parts of the world may not be as lucky as they are, and that dreams and goals for those people may be different i.e. somewhere safe to sleep, enough food to eat.

We were delighted to hold our first ever ‘Celebrating Success’ Awards Evening on the 11th of November 2021 at the Rembrandt Hotel, Weymouth to celebrate the incredible achievements and successes of our pupils over the last academic year, a year fraught with the difficulty and disruption of Covid 19, making the pupils’ successes even more remarkable.
As part of their studies on Global Issues and Climate Change Key Stage 4 pupils have been following the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as COP26 held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 31st October to 13th November 2021.
