Go green for #SafeguardingAdultsWeek 💚
Manager Justine at Heath Lodge said “Our first event of the week, the grand switch on! 😊 As we go green over at Heath Lodge to mark the beginning of #SafeguardingAdultsWeek 18th-22nd November 2024. Support workers Ann, Beth and Chris have been busy planning events for this week where we will be providing fun and inclusive activities to the people we support to join in with, whilst raising awareness of this topic. 🙌 For now, we will leave you guessing with what we have in store, behind the green door.” 😊
Safeguarding Adults Week aims for organisations to come together to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues. To encourage individuals to feel more confident in recognising signs of abuse and neglect and recording and reporting safeguarding concerns.
Monday – Developing Professional Curiosity
Tuesday – Working in partnership: How to work effectively with the people you support
Wednesday – Establishing Professional Boundaries
Thursday – Recognising exploitation: The ladder of criminality
Friday – Professional and Organisational Learning
🟢 Start conversations discussing Safeguarding
🟢 Wear green clothes throughout the week
🟢 Paint your face green
🟢 Make green meals – salad, jelly, or smoothies
🟢 If you can, light up your own club or organisation premises in green!

The week commencing 11th of November was Anti-Bullying Week and yesterday marked International Tolerance Day. ✨ At Paxton House they combined the two to help raise the people we support awareness. 👏
Well done to KL from Orme House who has cycled from Llandudno to Conwy with staff. 🚵👏
Lydia moved into Paxton House at the end of 2022. Since then, Lydia has come on in leaps and bounds as she has settled into her new home. 🏡 Lydia had been building on her skills and everyday tasks.
