The people we support at Newbold Road have been busy getting out into their local community and even made the most of the recent snow day at home! ️
Support worker Bec said “Oliver, Lauren, Charlie and Rhiannon took the opportunity to go out in the garden together with me and Erin, where they had a snowball fight and all shared the big blow up ball, kicking and throwing the ball to each other and experimenting to see if they could bury the ball with snow. ❄️ Once everyone had enough, they all came inside to warm up! Charlie recently enjoyed a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, looking at the different animals and watching the world go by. Charlie popped to the café for some dinner whilst at the wildlife park, choosing a sausage roll and crisps. To continue Charlie’s interests of animals, Charlie has also visited Graves Park with support staff Jez and Meg and enjoyed feeding the animals and a nice walk around the park. Louise has also been busy so far this year and has visited the local Garden Centre, where she purchased a milkshake from the café, which is one of her favourite drinks. After this Louise went for a drive through the countryside, which she has always enjoyed doing as she enjoys spending time in the car and looking out the window! To end her drive Louise popped to Matalan, where she purchased herself a new outfit in the January sales.” ️
It’s great to see everyone having fun in the snow together at home and getting out into the community doing the things they enjoy most.
The smiles on everyone’s faces are fantastic, making lovely memories.
Thank you to the staff team at Newbold Road for supporting everyone in doing the things that they love to do.
