In Preston, Mansard House have been taking part in a series of activities with the theme ‘kindness’ to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.
Staff member Angela explains: “Throughout the week we have put in place a kindness incentive with the aim for everyone to complete three kind acts a day and place them on our kindness board. On Tuesday we held a ‘be kind to your body’ workshop, where we discussed how important diet and hydration is – remember, healthy body healthy mind. Yesterday we completed a kindness treasure hunt, were examples and ideas of kind acts (with a little treat attached) were placed around the garden to be sought out by all the service users. It’s been a great week so far with more fun activities to be completed over the next few days!”
