We recently held a group discussion at Heath Lodge on the importance of checking for signs of testicular cancer.
Everyone received a clear, easy-to-read booklet explaining how to carry out self-checks and why it’s important to inform staff of any changes. To make the session engaging, prosthetic testicles were used to help residents understand what is normal in a respectful and practical way.
Staff members Dean and Dan led the discussion with dignity, professionalism, and care, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and supported throughout.
A great example of promoting awareness, confidence, and open conversations about men’s health!
