Roman Park is a registered specialist learning disability residential service, supporting adults aged 18+ with additional complex needs.
The large property located in Syston, Leicestershire, has excellent facilities with great public transport links and local amenities. With local shops, gyms and activities a short distance away. With links to local colleges, friendship groups, volunteering opportunities at local charities, singalong clubs, horse riding and boat trips – our staff ensure options are available for all.
The dedicated and value driven staff team support individuals to develop their skills, enabling and empowering individuals to live as independently as possible with their effective communication and personalised support. Adopting a person-centred approach to build on daily living skills and increasing confidence to enable people to move onto more independent living in the future.
At Roman Park a few individuals developed an interest in computer skills and have since gone on to become Oliver McGowan Lived in Trainers.
With great connections to our internal Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) team and Leicestershire County Councils PBS team, all individuals support plans are tailored to them and adopt a consistent person-centred approach.
Chef of the day – the individuals at Roman Park have created a weekly schedule called chef of the day, were each person takes it in turns to cook a meal for each other if they choose to do so.
Each year Roman Park host their annual Christmas party bringing together the individuals, their family and friends and the staff team.
Our service provides people with the opportunity to grow and to build on their skills to move onto greater independence in an individualised approach to suit individual needs and support to achieve positive outcomes.
