This month Larwood House, Potens residential service in Nottingham, are taking on the Sweatember Challenge to raise awareness and support Cancer Research UK.
The Cancer Research campaign initiative sees participants taking on the challenge to exercise every day in September in a bid to promote healthy living – as well as helping to raise money and awareness for of cancer in the UK.
Jason Moss, Deputy Manager, explains: “The challenge is to exercise for each of the 30 days during September. We know that the residents and staff here are already in the peak of physical fitness but we still consider it a challenge and like to lead by example and show others in our community that we aren’t afraid!”
The month has kicked off with a jam packed timetable of sporting and fitness activities including Boxercise, hiking, football, dancing and baseball!
Jason adds: “If you see us exercising out in the community please give us a cheer or even join in with us!”
