John Buckley, who lives at Potens’ Grange Mount in Wirral, has raised £5000 for Cancer Research UK this year by organising and taking part in a host of fundraising events.
Senior Support Worker, Gemma Mottram, tells us more:
“John has solely raised almost £5000 for cancer research, taking part in several events including his local ‘Race for Life’ event, singing in his local shopping centre and helping organising a series of coffee mornings across services.”
John also volunteers in our local Cancer Research shop in Birkenhead town centre and is real advocate for raising awareness of the importance of research into cancer.
“This is a fantastic achievement, as I am sure you will agree, and we are very proud of John for his commitment and dedication to a charity that it very close to his heart.” Gemma adds.
