Jane from Dale House has recently returned from a fantastic bucket-list holiday to Turkey! ✈️🌍
Staff have been working with Jane to be able to get this trip ticked off her bucket list and she has been so excited to accomplish this goal. 😁 This included supporting Jane with communicating with social workers, ordering finances, going out shopping and we had 2 staff members who spent the full week supporting Jane whilst on holiday! 👏🌟
When Jane arrived at the airport, she had a great surprise and bumped into her friend KE from Parkside Lodge and they were both ecstatic and enjoyed sharing where they were going on holiday! 😊✈️
Senior support worker Michaela said, “Amanda and Dawn spoke to Jane about her bucket list and what was next on her list. Jane got emotional and said nothing, absolutely nothing, the only 2 things left on my bucket list were to go to a Sunderland match which I have been supported to do and now go on holiday. Staff have done a fabulous job at supporting Jane with her bucket list meaning that all her goals have been met and we can now support Jane with thinking of some new ideas. It is so nice to see these positive achievements happening at Dale House.” 🧡
Jane said the following:
“Amanda and Dawn supported me to go on holiday to Turkey, this was on the very top of my bucket list. We stayed in the Swandor Hotel which was beautiful. 😍 We watched the most magical show at the land of legends. 🎭 I relaxed on the sun loungers and learned how to float on my back in the pool. We went on a boat trip and enjoyed a shower under the waterfall. 😁 I loved the live shows on an evening and I loved singing along I laughed so hard my false tooth came out and fell out on the floor! 😂 I enjoyed seeing the kittens and cats around the hotel because I love animals. 🐈 I just want to say thank you to Amanda and Dawn for supporting me on holiday, I had a fabulous, fabulous time and look forward to doing it again! I would love to go away again with them as I have thoroughly enjoyed their company!” 🙌💗
Amanda said “It was heartwarming to see how grateful Jane was for the experience, she never stopped smiling from the moment we left the house and she is still continuing to smile now we are home. 🤩 I feel privileged to be part of the memories that she will treasure forever.” ✨
