The staff and people we support at Highgate House have donated clothing and food to a local charity called Charles Thompson’s Mission in Birkenhead.
The charity provides care, support, food and clothes to those living in poverty. They rely on donations and volunteers to provide this amazing service. ✨
Manager Kris said “Throughout October and November, the people we support and staff at Highgate collected a large amount of food donations and clothing that was donated in time for the winter. Residents Connie, Penny and Richard helped to arrange the donations and wanted to show how much we managed to collect before it was dropped off! One of our support workers Rob went the extra mile for this charity and took part in their sponsored Sleep Out on 29th November to help raise funds. Rob braved the cold and spent the night sleeping rough outside the mission’s grounds in the unfortunate conditions faced by so many people daily. This is such an inspirational way to support the local community and those in need. Well done to everyone and a special thank you and congratulations to Rob for completing the sleep out!”
Well done everyone, we hope you are all proud of your donations and the important difference this will make to so many vulnerable lives in your community.
A big well done to Rob for completing the Sleep Out night and raising more funds.
