At Paxton House the people we support enjoy getting involved in the daily tasks of the house and developing their independent living skills! Recently Eva helped to cook dinner for everyone.
Staff member Helen said “Eva can be a little anxious to try new things but as you can see from the photos, she really enjoyed participating in making dinner. ️ Eva helped staff to prepare sweet and sour chicken with rice and extra veg she was a massive help and a delight to have in the kitchen and her smile was just infectious. When it came to dishing up Andrew, Shamita and Lydia all scooped up as much or as little as they fancied, raising even more smiles and thankfully the meal went down an absolute treat. For some of our people we support, taking part in daily meal prep is just what they do but for others to be in the kitchen, following the instructions/recipe can be very daunting and to achieve this is monumental. Not only were all support staff and the people we support very proud of everyone, but they were also very grateful for the yummy meal Eva helped make.”
Well done Eva, the food looks fantastic!
A lovely gesture cooking a delicious dinner for everyone to enjoy together at home. ️
We can’t wait to see what dishes you cook up next as you develop your cooking skills!
