Over the past week, the people we support at Newbold Road have begun getting into the Christmas spirit! 🎅🦌
Staff member Bec said “Sarah suggested that we started decorating for Christmas, so everyone worked together to decorate the house and put the Christmas tree up. 🎄Charlie, Lauren, Sarah and Rhiannon all designed their own tree decorations, which are now proudly hanging on our tree. 🙌 Sarah and Rob walked into town with support worker Sophie to do some Christmas shopping, look at the Christmas lights and had their photo taken in the giant sleigh! 🛷 Rob has also spent time with support worker Jez creating his own paper chains to decorate his flat for Christmas. Oliver has also been to town with support worker Aleisha to do his Christmas shopping and have his photo in the sleigh. Whilst out he wanted to visit the local church, which is holding a Christmas tree festival, Oliver enjoys Christmas and is interested in churches so this was the perfect event for him! ⛪ Whilst Lauren was out in town starting her Christmas shopping, she across these lovely sunglasses which she purchased for herself and wore for the rest of the day. Our first Christmas activity out of the house was a visit to Sheffield Christmas markets. 🎅 They had a browse of the stalls and made the most of the interactive Christmas displays. It was a great day out.” 🙌
Senior support worker Chelsea said “It’s great to see everyone working as a team and spending time together at the start of the festive season. 😀 We cannot wait to see what else the people we support get up to over the Christmas period.”
