As we approach the start of 2025, we wanted to share some great photos from Christmas 2024 of our staff and the people we support.
The gentlemen at Heathfield Gardens were excited when they received their Christmas Eve bags full of goodies!
At Parkside Lodge there was lots of excitement on Christmas morning.
Senior support worker Alice said “Everyone couldn’t wait to open their presents. Gerrie said her new pyjamas are ‘perfect’. Tony said his much asked for Milk Tray was, ‘the exact right size.’ Alfie was so happy with his signed Alan Shearer picture and told all the staff exactly how many goals he scored for Newcastle. After presents, everyone sat down for a fantastic Christmas Roast with all the trimmings. ️ The table was decorated the night before, including a beautiful floral Centrepiece they made themselves. Kerry led Gerrie and staff member Lyndsey into a Christmas photo shoot and game of Christmas Bingo (with special, wrapped prizes)!”
Kerry said to the staff “Thank you so much for making it a proper Christmas, I have really enjoyed myself.”
Focus Support also had an amazing Christmas day!
Senior support worker Shirley said “We had such a magical time, making lots of memories together. I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at Focus Support.”
At Paxton House, everyone received their Christmas Eve boxes and they went down an absolute treat.
Registered Manager Viorika said “Our Christmas Eve boxes were filled with lots of goodies. On Christmas day, we were a little quieter as some of the people we support went back home but we had a massive spread for our Christmas dinner. ️ Brandon watched his all-time favourite TV show, Dr Who with a bowl of treats wrapped in a blanket. Lydia enjoyed Christmas dinner with the staff and there may have been second helpings! Fiona’s mum came to visit and have dinner with her. It was a relaxed day of presents, TV, treats, arts, games, chats and lots and lots of laughs. A great time was had by all; memories were made and plenty of joy was shared.”
At Mansard House, the people we support and the staff have had a wonderful magical Christmas.
Senior support worker Angela said, “Everyone has enjoyed the festivities and taking part in Potens 12 Days of Christmas, getting involved in all the fantastic activities.”
At Walker Heights, the people we support enjoyed Christmas day with a dinner cooked by senior support worker Doug. ️
Manager Sarah said “Doug was previously a head chef and cooked a delicious Christmas dinner, dished out by deputy manager John. Everyone enjoyed their dinner together and thanked the staff team for making their day so special.”
It looks like everyone had a great Christmas, a big well done and thank you to all our staff for making Christmas so special for the people we support across Potens!
