Raising Awareness of Self-Harm Through Poetry
Natalie, who is supported to live in one of Potens’ residential services in Lancashire, has self-harmed since the age of 13. She is now sharing her story through a poem, written by herself, with the aim to educate others and demonstrate how lack of understanding of self-harm affects her.

Foxdale’s Baking Champion 2017
Individuals and staff at Potens’ Foxdale Supported Living service hosted their very own Great British Bake Off competition earlier this month at their home in Wirral – competing against each other to be crowned Foxdale Baking Champion 2017!

Launch of new Supported Living Service
Potens are delighted to announce the opening of a new supported living bungalow in Derrygonnelly, Northern Ireland, which has been specifically designed for three individuals transitioning from residential care and into their own home.
Timothy’s all set for 2017!
Timothy Young, who lives at Potens’ High Barn Residential service in Rochdale, has always been very active – enjoying long walks around nearby parks, lakes and gardens and continuously on the go! In early 2015 Timothy underwent surgery on his right hip, bringing a sudden halt to his active lifestyle, but with his sheer determination and fantastic support from his staff team he is now up and active and getting ready for the New Year!
Mark gets festive ready!
Christmas is an exciting and fun time, but for people with autism it can be confusing and even distressing with all the new activity going on. Mark Williams, who has autism, has found Christmas in the past difficult, but with some extra planning this year from his team, and putting him in control of the festivities, he is looking forward to Christmas at Potens’ High Barn in Rochdale.
