Avondale Lodge, one of Potens’ residential services, located in Redcar, has recently created a brand new ground floor bedroom designed to better meet the needs of local people with complex needs including physical disabilities.
The redevelopment of the ground room floor within Avondale Lodge was driven by the commitment to promote independence, well-being, and a sense of belonging for every person we support. The aim was to create a space that not only meets people’s physical needs but also enhances their overall quality of life.
The new design of a ground floor room within the service takes into consideration the diverse needs within the locality and the increase in demand for rooms with accessibility for people with mobility needs. Over the past few months the specification of the new room has been carefully planned by the service manager and the Potens’ Facilities Director.
The bedroom, inclusive of an en-suite wet room, has been finished to a very high standard. The redevelopment of Avondale Lodge demonstrates Potens’ commitment to improve the quality of care and support, invest in service demands and create environments that meet the specific needs of individuals requiring placements.
