Deputy Manager Louise said “We’ve made a difference! Recently the people we support were invited to give a talk regarding sunflower lanyards. Local GPs held a meeting where some of the people we support stood up and spoke about the easily accessibility of these lanyards and how they make a huge difference to them daily. Local GPs have fought hard to have them accessible in all GP surgeries and thanks to the people of Achieve With Us this has happened and they will now be accessible in all local GP surgeries! 🙌 I am so extremely proud of you all and the massive change that we have made in our local community. If it wasn’t for the people of Achieve With Us being so passionate about this topic it probably would never have happened.” 🤩💙

The Sunflower Lanyards represent hidden disabilities to support people living with non-visible disabilities in their communities by raising awareness, training businesses and sharing stories to help create a more inclusive, understanding society. By wearing a lanyard, it indicates an individual may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time in shops, at work, in surgeries/appointments, on transport, or in public spaces. 🌻
