Woodside Farm House is a Residential Care Home consisting of two flats within the main dwelling with six en-suite bedrooms, two in the upstairs flat and four in the downstairs flat. It also has a bungalow which has two one bedroom flats. We provide a home
for adults diagnosed with a Learning Disability, who may also have challenging behaviour and associated Mental Health needs. Woodside Farm House has a main house and a bungalow and will be a long term residential care placement for people, who have either a history of previous placement breakdowns or are being discharged from a long stay hospital and are ready to move on.
The aim of Woodside Farm House is to provide a high quality service within a homely environment for people who have a learning disability, in which continuous encouragement, fulfillment, education and stimulation are the core elements in the daily life for the people who live in the home. The high quality care provided will enable people to achieve their own personal objectives in ways that are generally valued in our society. Woodside Farm House is a Residential Home We welcome either male or females with mild or borderline Learning Disabilities who also present behaviours that challenge. Their ages range from eighteen to sixty five years of age
The home and bungalow are tastefully decorated; all the furnishings, carpets, curtains and colour schemes are coordinated and chosen with the comfort of the people who live at Woodside in mind. Each person is supported to choose the decor for their room to suit their personal taste.
The garden areas are accessible to all the people who live at Woodside. The following have also been installed to ensure Security and Safety of the home and the bungalow.
A call bell system is installed throughout the Home and bungalow all exit doors are fully alarmed. We have an L1 Fire Alarm System.The Home and bungalow have all the appropriate Fire Fighting equipment and notices displayed throughout. Fire Precautions and Emergency Procedures in the care home. The people who live at Woodside Farm House are supported to make full use of the kitchens provided. They can prepare and cook food and make drinks. Staff will be working to support and assist each person. By care staff to access all community facilities including G.P., chiropodist, optician and dentist services by arrangement. To attend any appointments and if requested we will be advocates to help each person share and receive information. Ensure that each person is treated fairly and receive a satisfactory outcome.The home provides transport for everyone and has four cars available to take people out to activities.
