The Hollies is a residential services support 7 people (aged 18 plus) with severe learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, dual sensory, mental health needs and physical disabilities
The Hollies comprises of an extended bungalow in the heart of Barry Town which is surrounded by beautiful coastlines and countryside. The Hollies is in close vicinity to shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, parks and churches, along with having rail and bus links to Cardiff and other places of interest.
The Accommodation comprises of 2 lounge/dining area’s with cable television, 1 of which overlooks the rear garden where residents can peruse at their leisure, a kitchen, communal bathroom, utility room, 2 toilets, 7 bedroom’s, 4 of which are en-suite, an office where we have an open door policy and where paperwork is stored securely. We also have a rear car park and front carport.
Here at the Hollies we endeavour to provide a home from home ambience where the residents can feel safe, secure, happy and relaxed in a friendly environment where everyone’s needs are met and person centred to each individual.
We encourage all our residents to engage in meaningful activities ie: games, socialising, family visits, meals out, parties, visits to cinema, swimming, bowling, karaoke, walking, shopping, hiring beach huts and the beach wheelchairs in the summer, bbq’s, picnics, visiting pubs etc along with holiday of their choice with one to one care and support.
We also assist in applying for mobility car’s should they wish, or travel passes to help in gaining independence when attending hospital appointments or going out into the community.
