Highgate House is a Supported Living Home for both men and women aged 18+. We provide support to adults who may have ill mental health, acquired brain injuries, complex needs, challenging behaviour and some mild learning disabilities.
Support for each person is tailored to meet their individual needs. This is achieved through Person Centred Planning – support planning with the individuals input and involvement at the core. The primary focus at Highgate is promoting independence and developing life-skills that are essential for achieving quality of life. The support team will strive to achieve key outcomes and goals with each individual.
The staff team understands that continuity of support enables service users to successfully live independently whilst knowing where to request help should they fall into crisis to avoid costly re-admission to hospital or residential care.
The skilled staff benefit from training and guidance from local specialist units, who suggest that recovery can be expected in at least 75% of individuals with alcohol related dementia, ranging from slight to complete recovery, with appropriate support.
