Bourne Bridge House aims to provide a homely environment for people with Learning Disabilities in which continuous encouragement, education and stimulation are the core elements in the daily life for the service users in the Home and Cottages which make up Bourne Bridge House. The care provided will enable them to achieve their own personal objectives in ways that are generally valued in our society.
Bourne Bridge House and Cottages are attractively set around a large courtyard situated down the end of a tree lined drive. The Home is a residential home consisting of three bedrooms all en-suite. The cottages are ideal for individuals who need independent living accommodation but within close proximity of Bourne Bridge House for extra support for service users and staff. The cottages consist of Beech Cottage – two bedrooms en-suite; Hazel Cottage – one bedroom with wet room; Bramble Cottage adjoins the main house and has two bedrooms en-suite. The house and cottages are set in six acres of land. It is set well back from a quiet country lane in a glorious rural location in the heart of rolling Devon countryside with panoramic views from the main house over the surrounding countryside at the rear. .

Bourne Bridge House has a kitchen, lounge, dining room, laundry area and W.C all located on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, all of which have an en-suite. Hazel Cottage, which is equipped to provide living accommodation for one wheelchair user. Hazel Cottage has one bedroom with a shower room, a lounge, kitchen and laundry. To the front of Hazel Cottage there is a patio area. Next door is
Beech Cottage which is a two storey building comprising of a lounge, kitchen and laundry area on the ground floor. There are two en-suite bedrooms on the first floor, and a communal WC. Beech cottage has a patio area to the front.The Home adjoins a Devon Wildlife Trust site at Meshaw Moor. The local village of Witheridge is about 4 miles from the house and offers a good range of village amenities whilst the market town of South Molton is about 7 miles from the home and provides an excellent range of day-to-day amenities. The North Devon Link road is about 13 miles from Bourne Bridge House with road access to Tiverton Parkway which is the main station for the London Paddington Line. The North Devon coastline being within a short driving distance from Bourne Bridge House
All bedrooms are fully decorated and people are encouraged to bring small items of furniture and other personal possessions to their rooms. They can have their own televisions and can install a private telephone should they wish.
