We are recruiting Support Workers to work within our new service Cecil Court in Langley Moor, Durham.
The service will support 18 adults with mental health conditions in single occupancy accommodation, and will have an emphasis on recovery and re-ablement.
We have a variety of positions available up to 38 hours per week on a temporary / permanent basis or flexible positions on a bank basis. The shifts will include week days, evenings, weekends and waking nights.
The role will involve supporting individuals to live in their own tenancy in the community including:
• Tenancy sustainment;
• Responsive delivery of support services to prevent deteriorations in physical and/or mental health;
• Link to wider community resources, including Recovery Colleges and the Voluntary sector;
• Supporting individuals toward employment and training opportunities, and meaningful use of time;
As a support worker you will foster empowerment, enablement and choice, assisting service users to maximise their potential through person centred support.
