Deputy Residential Care Manager

Can you lead and motivate a team while keeping standards high?

We are looking for a deputy manager who has a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role and is confident and competent in leading a team.

We are a 12 bedded residential service based in a Victorian house over 2 floors that is close to town centre and public transport

The service supports adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and / autism and our age range is 18 plus although the clients we currently have are over 25

-£8.50 per hour

-To assist with the 24 hour management of the Service and in the absence of the Manager, ensuring that all aspects of care and service delivery is focused on meeting the needs of the service users

-To assist with supervision, monitoring and day to day management of other staff

-Participate in the On-Call rota, to provide managerial support.

-Assistant with implementing, reviewing care plans

-Minimum of NVQ 3

-Minimum of 2 years experience in senior/managerial role
-All mandatory training is provided along with service specific- Autism, Dysphasia, Epilepsy, PBS, Active support. Full induction and shadow shifts at the start of employment.

-Varied shift patterns- 2 waking night staff and a minimum of 3 staff on shift at all times (Inclusive of weekends and bank holidays)

-Regular supervisions support to progress with career opportunities.

Our Staff support people to develop their daily living skills such as, cooking, domestic skills, finances, laundry, administration of medication, and accessing community resources, personal care as required.

We also support people on various activities including- Shopping, days out on the train, swimming, holidays, theatre shows, visiting and maintaining family contact.

Convictions / Cautions - Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1979
