This week Potens Group have announced the acquisition of Leicestershire based ‘Achieve with Us Ltd’ – a Day Opportunities service and small associated Domiciliary Care Agency for Adults with a Learning Disability.
‘Achieve with Us’ is located in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and operates a shop (run by service users) and a group of day service bases. These operate from 9-4, Monday to Friday, delivering a range of activities including: gardening; shop skills; adult learning courses; cooking; music and drama; art and crafts and sports. Achieve With Us staff work to enable their clients to become more independent and to integrate with their local community through these activities.
Nicki Stadames, Chief Operating Officer at Potens said: “We are delighted to be part of this acquisition and welcome the Manager of the service, Abigail Beeby, the experienced staff team, service users and their families into the Group. Here at Potens we will be ably supported in the transition for the first 3 months by Sue and Kevin Leathers, the previous owners. I would like to take this opportunity to officially welcome them all.

This latest acquisition aligns with Potens’ current day provision and skills centres across other areas of the UK – set up to enable the development skills and strategies for life using strength-based, personalised learning programmes.
Nicki Stadames adds: “Like our current day opportunities and skills centre provision, Achieve with Us’ promotes choice and focuses on developing independent living skills in environments that ensure individuals gain the most from each learning experience.”
