My Story – Anni

It’s day 23 of our #30Stories30people and today we meet Anni Thomas who is the Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at our residential and nursing service Cae Glas in North Wales.

“My name is Anni Thomas and I have been a nurse for 14 years working in various settings within the mental health field. I began working in Cae Glas which is located in Denbigh, North Wales in January 2018. I was initially employed on a temporary basis to cover sickness, however this was changed to a permanent position a few months later.

My role is Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead and I was made to feel welcome from the very first day. Although I was a little apprehensive about starting a new job, I soon realised I had made the right move!

Since the start of my employment I have been fully supported to progress my career, I am completing my QCF Level 5 managers award and have been on various training courses to further my knowledge.

Cae Glas has a very homely feel; I enjoy my work and feel the people we support really benefit from the friendly atmosphere. The staff work hard to enable our residents to live their lives to the best of their ability whilst promoting independence and building self-esteem.”

Thank you Anni!
