Last month Managers Kris Voice and Louise Plant organised a huge summer party for the Merseyside services hosted at the Columba Centre. 🌞🎉
The main event was an animal encounter experience with a wonderful two-hour show from the animal handlers. 🐢 On top of the animals they arranged for a face painter, which was popular with some fantastic designs 🎨, a lolly-ice stand, a raffle, a lot of garden games and a fantastic buffet made by the Seniors at Highgate. 🥪
Manager at Highgate Kris said, “Everyone enjoyed interacting with the snakes, turtles, meerkats, birds, rats and more. 🐍 We had a Centre of Equality at the party providing information and resources for Equality Diversity and Inclusion, emphasising a safe space for all. 😊 To finish the party off we had a karaoke session inside and everyone enjoyed a good dance! 🎤 The whole day was a huge success! The weather was on our side for the afternoon and the people we support and staff teams enjoyed socialising with each other. 🙌 Louise and I would like to thank everyone who came along and joined in and to all the people who helped out with preparations, the admin and facilities department who were amazing in helping set up on the day, Anne and Vera for putting on a huge buffet and to all the support staff who ensured the people we support were able to enjoy themselves as much as possible!” 🧡
